"To be or not to be may be the world's most famous question - but for six months the only place to be is DC" proclaims the Washington Shakespeare Festival website. As it says, the festival lasts for six months, so we won't miss out even if we don't act tomorrow, or even next month, or even before the end of the semester. Here is the calendar of events for January. Anyone interested in going to one of these?

Word on the street has it that UMD's own contribution to Shakespeare in Washington consists of a lecture that will include the public exhibition of excerpts from adult films based on Shakespearean plays. I have no idea what those excerpts will contain or how the lecture will address the issue.

Hi, I came over from Dawn Eden's site. One of my goals this year is to see Shakespeare performed live, and I didn't find the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's offerings that moving. I'm just outside of Philadelphia but my sister lives in Arlington. So thanks for posting this; now all I have to do is decide (so hard!) and figure out when I can squeeze in a trip between work and grad school. . .
