I happen to know that some of my friends really like Coca-Cola, and some of the ones with more finely-attuned taste buds really lament the switchover from sugar to high fructose corn syrup. According to this article, not just Orthodox Jews, but everyone wants the kosher Coke they make for Passover because it is made the old way, with sugar.

Coke imported from Mexico also uses real sugar and can be found easily in LA. Whether they're sugar beets or sugar cane, I don't know....

Yes, Coke in Mexico is much better because it is made with real sugar. It is interesting and lamentable that individual food producers tailor their products for the individual national markets. Nutella is another prime example. Ever have Nutella in Europe? It is WAY better.
