I bet Albert wouldn't mind hiring the FSSP to give his parish an altar makeover like they did here.

I think you have the making of a hit new series for EWTN! They could hire an orthodox interior decorator to run around to various parishes and make their churches look like churches again, all on a reasonable and sustainable budget. (As it is, a lot of our parishes look like they hosted a Trading Spaces with the local Protestant congregation...)

Not to burst any bubbles of the trad crowd, but tabernacles are required to be immoveable. I think flowers on the alter are also prohibited.

That can't be true. The CSC tabernacle is movable (mobile might be a better word). We moved it last year when we did living Stations. Even in the parish where I have my family roots (not the one my family currently attends), which was built in the 1800's, the tabernacle could probably be moved. As for the flowers, even if you took them away, the "after" shot would still look ten times better than the "before."

I did like the movie. As far as I know tabernacles just need to be semi-unmovable. Most are screwed into the altar they're on. But you can usually pick both up and move them. Plus I _think_ the movability issue is related whether or not the tabernacle is going to be there when they're aren't priests around. Basically they don't want anyone stealing the tabernacle.
