Via Drudge:
A Spiegel Online article by Olaf Stampf shows a blatant example of anti-Catholicism when critiquing radical environmentalists:
Environmentalists, adopting a strategy typical of the Catholic Church, have been warning us about the horrors of greenhouse gas hell ever since -- painting it as a punishment for the sin of meddling with creation. What was conveniently ignored, however, is that humanity has been reshaping the planet for a very long time, first by clearing forests and plowing fields, and later by building roads, cities and factories.

Also, Ann Coulter lost some points in my book for using the Catholic Church as her example of an institution that developed corrupt practices in juxtaposition with the corruption of the green movement:
It took the Catholic Church hundreds of years to develop corrupt practices such as papal indulgences. The global warming religion has barely been around for 20 years, and yet its devotees are allowed to pollute by the simple expedient of paying for papal indulgences called "carbon offsets."
and
Further proving that liberalism is a religion, its practitioners respond with the zeal of Torquemada to any dissent from the faith in global warming.
and
Only a false religion needs hate mail, threats, courts of inquisition and Hollywood movies to sustain it.
Now, I realize her point is that the Catholic Church took longer to become corrupt, so she isn't really trying to denegrate the Church. And I'm sure she would concede for argument with a papist that the Church doesn't "need" a court of inquisition to sustain itself anymore.
Nevertheless, both articles perpetuate negative images of the Church that are essentially the modern day spawn of Reformation propaganda.

Peter,
I'm surprised Coulter has any points left in your book - or anyone else's, for that matter. She repeately refuses to be charitable (in fact, she insists on being uncharitable) and consistently appeals to the lowest common denominator. If any of her ideas were original, maybe she wouldn't have to scream so loud to get them heard.
