Here's a little reflection on Sir Alec Guiness's (Obi-wan Kenobi's) conversion to Catholicism. Obviously, it's an old piece, but worth reading.
Apparently, Guiness hated the Star Wars films (an opinion he shares with his cinematic successor)...which makes the following line from the previous reflection all the more poignant:
Now there's a scene. Picture someone confronting Guinness, moments after he had knelt to receive Holy Communion, and asking about Obi-Wan Kenobi.

From his autobiography
If I have one regret (leaving aside a thousand failings as a person, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend -- and my lazy, slapdash, selfish attitude as an actor) it would be that I didn't take the decision to become a Catholic in my early twenties. That would have sorted out a lot of my life and sweetened it. (p. 560)

That's a pretty awesome quote.
It's like the voice of a student finally realizing what it was the teacher had been trying to explain over and over again.
"Oh...so that's what that was there for..."
