So, if the world is getting warmer, and heat is energy, then why aren't we scrambling to find ways to harvest that energy into something usable? Can't somebody design some kind of giant heat-battery or heat-turbine? Maybe I should offer some kind of incentive.
I hereby declare a free lunch to the scientist who successfully invents a way to transform the heat of CO2 produced global warming into something productive for society.
Also, if the world is getting warmer, then it stands to reason that there will also be a reduction in energy use in certain areas (if only because people won't have to heat their homes as much, or travel as far to find warmer vacation spots). Maybe this will be offset by increased energy consumption elsewhere, I don't know.
I'm talking entirely out of my field here, but the thought popped in my head...(along with some Dayquil, which might explain the sudden hubris to speak outside of my expertise).
