So Isabel was helping me pack up my stuff this afternoon. I've filled no less than ten banker's boxes full of books, and I feel like I've barely made a dent in the library.
And here I was so proud of myself for having given away three whole department store bags of codices!
And that's just the books...I haven't even started on the DVDs or video games yet. I recall when I first moved down here and tried to live without a television. How wise that would have been!
Times like this always remind me of the scene in Jim Henson's Labyrinth when the protagonist falls into the junkpile with the old hag. The geriatric goblin starts packing all of the girl's belongings on her back like some kind of Dantean retribution...
