The Washington Times is running a piece on Sister Dede Byrne with video on its Website, here.
She gets mad props for making sure to insert a statement on the Eucharist. Evidently in answer to a question on what keeps her going, she says:
"...our Eucharistic adoration...without without that, I would be nothing more than a glorified social worker."
I also dug this line:
"I'm not just a pro-life doctor, I'm pro-eternal life," she says. "God
makes it very clear that he is working through me. … God gave me the
opportunity to be a physician, and he creates the miracles."
It's a nine page article on the really tremendous and selfless work that she's doing, so carve out a block of time to read it. It might be the only good news you'll read today...
