As Isabel and I deliberate honeymoon destinations, I came across this little coupon on the Laguna Beach Website...
Casa Laguna Inn
Casa Laguna Inn
Uhm...isn't that discrimination based on sexual orientation?
If a hotel offered a 10% off coupon to heterosexual couples, wouldn't that be a travesty?
Or, for people who like to say that same-sex marriage is a civil rights issue, what would happen if this discount applied only to white couples? or only black couples? or whatever other only group you want to insert?

This discount applies to all couples - hetro or homo-sexual. Check the website carefully. The "coupon" you selected was merely an attempt to call attention to the fact that a discount was available to ALL newlywed couples in California last year. Best of luck to you in your new life together.

The blurb on the Website might want to clarify that issue, since, as one can read from the text I copied and pasted, it only describes same-sex marriages receiving the ten-percent discount. I would recommend something like "to all couples (same-sex couples are asked to bring California Marriage licenses for verification)."
