Just filled my taxes.
Brain hurts.
The saddest part is that I don't even do itemized deductions or anything nearly as complicated, and I still had moments where I was just staring blankly at the TurboTax window.
Perhaps the most anguish was felt when I was supposed to determine my local school district...I have no idea what my school district is, so I clicked on the link that was supposed to take me to a website that would tell me. It should have been easy enough; all I had to do was enter my address.
But the Website said my address didn't exist.
Blaaaargh!
There has to be an easier way.
And did you know that PA residents are supposed to pay "use taxes" on anything they buy in another state? What the heck is that about?!?
That's the line that you're supposed to pay the sales tax for anything you buy out of state.
If you buy something from Amazon and pay zero taxes, or buy something from another state and pay less than PA's sales tax, you are supposed to pay the difference on that line. Or so I've been told.
