Hey, I have a good idea...let's appoint to a presidential panel on faith-based initiatives someone who called the pope a "discredited leader" for publicly opposing homosexual activity .
Sounds like just the kind of open-minded person who will allow the other members of the 25-person panel to speak freely on their religious beliefs.
And let's pollute the environment some more to return it to its natural state...
While we're at it, let's appoint some anti-capitalists to financial committees.

We are in trouble. Obama will be the most damaging president since Johnson. And Johnson's redistribution of wealth has become so entrenched that it will never be evicted.

I should have added: with the Obama bailout/stimulus, it is better for me to get fired from my job, and have the government pay my COBRA (my employer doesn't make any contributions to my health insurance, they just offer the plan) and get extended unemployment which would make it cheaper for me to go back to school. Literally, I am in the position now that if I get fired, I might be better off.

On the bright side, one of the other newest members on the Faith-Based Council is Anthony Picarello, general counsel at the USCCB. He is a wonderful lawyer, the USCCB is blessed to have him, and he will well-represent the Church on this council.
